Lindsay Batt

Secretary

Although Lindsay joined the THE COLUMNS AWARDS Board of Directors in 2013, she has basically spent her entire life on stage. Lindsay’s first performances began in church plays and musicals while in elementary school and progressed through junior high and in various performances in High School. In 2008, Lindsay started her professional theater career performing/working at various DFW venues including Artisan Center Theater, Theater Arlington and Plaza Theatre Company.

After years on the stage, Lindsay started enhancing her skills by working in various roles off stage at a few theaters until landing her current position as Production Manager at Plaza Theatre Company. It is as a Stage Manager that Lindsay found her true calling of leading teams of actors, technical crews, and producers from auditions through rehearsals to the final production. Over the years, Lindsay has had the opportunity to stage manage: Ragtime, West Side Story, Man of La Mancha, To Kill A Mockingbird, Joseph...Dreamcoat, Oklahoma! Hunchback of Notre Dame and many more. All of her hard work has resulted in Lindsay earning three Column Awards as Best Stage Manager.

In 2015, Lindsay married her husband, and when they aren’t in the theater, they are avid, season ticket holding Texas Rangers Fans. Lindsay has had a lifelong passion for live theater and the arts. She joined THE COLUMN Board because she strongly believes in giving back to the theater community and wants to actively work to bring together everyone involved in the DFW theatre community. In addition, since THE COLUMN supports BCEFA, it allows Lindsay to help provide support to all of the people from her theater family that are affected by AIDS.
